Diablo 4 beta release date Right around the corner, we now have an official release date for the next Diablo game.
A full release date for Diablo 4 has been confirmed for June 2023, but before it hits our demon-slaying circles, Blizzard has announced plans for beta testing with players pre-ordering the game for early beta access. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Diablo 4 beta release date, how to sign up for the closed beta, what the beta will contain, and more.
Diablo 4 beta release date
The Diablo 4 Early Access Closed Beta will run from March 17-19. This early access period will be available to players who pre-order the game before the game launches on June 6.
In a developer update, Blizzard outlined the steps players can take to test and be invited to the beta. Unfortunately, the closed beta specified that these steps needed to be completed by October 11, which means it’s already too late if you’re reading this now.
They added that if you did not receive an email invite to the Diablo 4 Closed Beta by November 18, you were not selected to participate. So, speaking of a closed beta release date, we’d say it’s imminent.
Previously, players also had the option of accessing the Diablo Hell’s Ink Tour closed beta, where anyone who wanted to get a free Diablo flash tattoo was also given a card granting them “early access to the next beta”. The tour ran from July 16 to September 10, but there is currently no word on anyone taking part in the event.

Diablo 4 Beta Content
Speaking at IGN Fan Fest, Game Director Joe Shelley announced that players who participate in the Early Access Beta will be able to access everything in the Prologue and Act 1, including campaign missions and all side missions. You’ll also be able to reach level 25, a quarter of the way toward the Diablo 4 level cap.
The previous closed beta invited players to “test out Diablo 4’s strong final offerings using some in-game data.” Diablo 4 General Manager Rod Fergusson and Game Director Joe Shelley also released an update video in September detailing what players can expect from the closed beta.
Echoing that the closed beta will focus on endgame, Rod revealed the reason he focused on what happens after the epic campaign ends: “Make sure Sanctuary is an exciting place to slay demons long after after the campaign is over.
The closed beta will focus on content including Nightmare Dungeons, Whispers of the Dead, Fields of Hatred, Paragon Boards, and the new in-game feature, Helltide. They added: “In particular, we will use in-game data to invite a limited number of Diablo players who have recently spent a lot of time playing Diablo II endgames: Resurrected, Diablo III, and Diablo Immortal.”
So if you haven’t played many Diablo games yet, it’s unlikely you’ll be invited to try Endgame just yet.
Diablo 4 open beta release date
The Diablo 4 open beta will take place from March 24 to 26. Everyone will be able to access this build, and players who participated in the first beta weekend will see their character progress carry over to the open beta.
Players can expect to access the same range of content in the open beta, which means they can reach level 25, explore the game’s full prologue and first act, and see all the missions from the initial campaign and side missions. contained in these sections. .
