The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition development team is always working hard to improve game performance on PC. According to CD Projekt, additional optimizations are being made for the updated RPG, including more efficient use of the CPU core and improved performance for ray-traced shadows and global illumination.

Patch 4.01 brought some ray tracing performance improvements to The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition earlier this month, but in a February 13 forum post, CD Projekt points out a few remaining issues the studio is working on. at the moment. These include more efficient use of CPU cores and performance improvements for the DirectX 12 version of the game that you’ll run if you want to see all the ray-traced lighting effects.

According to the study, this build will see a performance boost in future patches.

The Witcher 3 team is also working to reduce the amount of light leak that occurs when ray tracing global illumination is enabled, and investigating the issue of shadows appearing and disappearing from vegetation using ray tracing based in close proximity to Geralt and the angle. from where they are seen.

We can also expect a return to the horizon-based environment shading option on PC. HBAO is a method of casting shadows around objects in a scene and can be a good alternative to ray tracing, although it can also be quite demanding on hardware.

We have compiled a long list of the best open world games on PC, and The Witcher 3 is one of them, along with other epic adventures.
