Destiny 2 is getting (slightly) harder at every level

The Bungie team previously reported that this will slow down ability regen times, which Blackburn reiterates in his post. He also notes that the energy cost of stability mods will increase from 1 to 2 for minor mods and from 2 to 4 for major mods. He also announced an upcoming balance patch regarding team perks.

Bungie also intends to make several changes to make in-game content more challenging regardless of the player’s power level. Blackburn noted that the game has aggressively adjusted the difficulty settings that govern how much a player can level up for certain activities in Destiny 2 Season 19. He goes on to mention that the team is generally happy with the results. Therefore, the developers plan to continue this trend by implementing these difficulty changes to the playlist of the Vanguard Ops game, starting with Lightfall.

“We’re not going to set this playlist control to the same intense level as the Battlegrounds playlist, but we want to use this setting to make Vanguard Operations much more appealing to your average Lightfall ward.”

Blackburn also notes that he’ll be taking the same approach to power and difficulty when going through Neomun.
