Dataminers found an explanatory skill file for the new hero Muerta in the Dota 2 files. There are only names, sketches or simple images, sometimes taken from existing heroes. Telegram Dota_DM showed them on his channel.
There are many interesting names associated with icons such as Grave Grapple, True Love, Soul Swell and Plumage Parry. One of the abilities, Hot Feet, is clearly inspired by Cold Feet Ancient Apparition, but otherwise uses the same imagery. It’s easy to assume that this could also work the other way around: debuff a character if they deviate too far from their cast point.
Dota 2 fans are waiting for the next hero to arrive. Muerta, which was announced at The International 2022, is expected to release in early 2023. Most likely, it will be added along with the next big patch, 7.33. But when will there be an update? It is not known when the patch will be released, but it is possible to anticipate and make a calculated guess.
User u/DrDesmondGaming posted on Reddit his analysis of when the next Dota 2 patch might be released. They compared the release times of the previous four patches, 7.32a – 7.32d, and found similarities. All of these fixes were released on Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning at a specific timeslot.
Following the pattern, the next Dota 2 patch could be released between Tuesday, February 7 at 21:00 (Italian time) and Thursday, February 9 at 01:30 (Italian time). Everyone is expecting major changes since it’s been a while since a new game patch came out, such as actual map changes and hero reworks.
One of the most anticipated updates is the new Dota 2 hero, Muerta. At TI11 Valve released a teaser for a first look at Mournful Revenant. The teaser showed a ghostly hero armed with a gun and hinted at an “early 2023” release.
“Break through the veil between the living and the damned as a new hero, Muerta, hits the lanes in early 2023,” Dota 2 wrote on its official website. As soon as the patch is released, we will see if the leaks about the skills of this new hero will be fully or partially confirmed.
