The first map of Call of Duty Warzone 2 Resurgence is now officially unveiled. Ashika Island will be the setting for a more action-packed alternative to Warzone 2’s battle royale gameplay, and it appears to be a beautiful tourist destination off the coast of Japan that has been hit with stormy weather.
The Warzone 2 Resurgence map release date has been set for February 15, and it seems the map leaks earlier this month were correct. On the south side of the small island is the town center with a beach club on an artificial promontory overlooking the coast to the east.
The center of the map is dominated by Tsuki Castle, a multi-story pagoda-style fortified structure that has a hidden space. However, you will have to fight your way through the tower defenders to get inside.
Elsewhere on the island, you’ll find a power plant, homes, a sewage treatment plant, and a shipwreck.
Resurgence is a more dynamic and slightly more forgiving alternative to traditional Warzone battle royale that allows players to respawn instead of being sent to the gulag or kicked out of the game if they have another team member still alive 20 seconds after death.
