At the play-in stage there will be a double-elimination bracket. 16 teams will start the qualifying stage, but only eight will advance to the group stage. Only the first games are the best of the same series, and the rest of the games, including the knockout games, are BO3.

The group stage will at some point have 16 teams, eight from the play-in stage and eight direct qualifiers. However, at this stage the teams form two groups of eight teams each. Groups follow the GSL format where all games are played in Bo3 format.
At the group stage, three teams will advance to the playoffs. The first team of each group advances directly to the semi-finals. These two teams will need to play one less game, so the reward is high enough to make it to the top of the group stage. The next two teams will advance to the quarter-finals, with the second-placed team in the group being the top seed and the 3rd-placed team being the last seed.
