The new Genshin Impact Yaoyao and Qiqi voice lines added in the anime game’s version 3.4 update will touch your heart if you like any of the characters. The Liyue duo are supposed to be a pair of normal friends, but Qiqi’s zombie brain adds an extra layer of complexity to their relationship: she doesn’t seem to remember anything at all, including Yaoyao at times.
Qiqi died young after accidentally infiltrating the Realm of Mythical Superpowered Adepts. Her followers resurrect her after seeing that she was just an innocent bystander to the accident, but she no longer lives a normal life. She now has to keep a notebook to remember things about her thanks to her terrible undead memory.
In her Qiqi lines, Yaoyao explains that Qiqi is her best friend, though the zombie girl sometimes forgets who she is. It’s alright when Qiqi goes through her notebook, but it’s still not an ideal situation for the two of them.
Yaoyao’s second line about Qiqi shows that he asked Dr. Baizhu in private if there was a way to cure Qiqi, but the line ends with Yaoyao saying, “Maybe I have to remind you who I am. I am all my life, but it’s not So”. doesn’t matter. And the story of the third character, Qiqi, lets us know that Baizhu doesn’t really care about her, which makes this situation even sadder.
For whatever reason, HoYovere decided to tell these two young women a relatively dark story. And you can hear the lines yourself by getting Yaoyao for free when he participates in the Lantern Rite event in Genshin Impact version 3.4.
You can also pick Yaoyao if you want their constellations or if you want to add Alhaitam and Xiao to your teams, as all three characters are in current Genshin Impact banners in the first half of the 3.4 update.
