I was recently looking for a crazy fast FPS game. A type of shooter with fluid movements, fast shooting, and excellent level design that challenges your skills by constantly throwing curveballs at you. If you are, too, you’ll be happy to know that what I consider to be one of the best shooters in the genre is currently cheaper on Steam than most semi-decent cafes. If you haven’t played it yet, you must check out Titanfall 2.
The sequel to Respawn Entertainment’s multiplayer shooter that puts you in control of wall-running pilots and giant robots, Titanfall 2 answered many gamers’ calls by introducing a campaign. Consisting of just nine levels that will take you around six hours to complete, it’s not a very long campaign, but it’s certainly an excellent one.
You control pilot Jack Cooper and the titan BT-7274 in the midst of a galactic war, and while Respawn put such worthwhile effort into creating the universe and its conflict (which would later impact the world of Apex Legends), Cooper’s bond with BT is the star of the show.
It’s not even the deepest relationship, but being able to control both Cooper and BT at all times during each of the missions, with a few exceptions, really strengthens their relationship and makes all the difference (I won’t spoil anything here). ) becomes smoother.
If that’s not enough for you, all the levels in Titanfall 2 are excellent. One minute you’re parked next to a giant assembly line of country houses, and the next you’re racing alongside starships or using one of the most satisfying mechanics in shooters, it’s such a surprise I won’t mention it here. Anyway, if you still don’t know what I’m talking about.
Titanfall 2 throws new concepts at you and plays them so fast you’ll jump right into your favorite level to start over, only this time you’ll be faster, stronger and moving through the level like the wind.
What strikes me about Titanfall 2’s campaign today is not only that it exemplifies the term “all killers but also fillers”, but that it doesn’t bloat for no good reason. The fact that the campaign is short will surely discourage people from playing at full price, but when it’s this cheap, all I can do is write why you should play it until, well, you were playing it.

Titanfall 2’s campaign isn’t a complete package, as it also features a multiplayer mode that has become nearly unplayable on PC due to hackers, DDOS attacks, and a general lack of support from Respawn. There are several Titanfall 2 clients that allow for private servers and custom play, it’s definitely worth checking out if you want to try online on PC, but at the current price on Steam if you just want to play solo it’s always worth it.
