Couch Co-op: Four Upcoming Games You Can Play Together – Chapter 1

The cooperative gaming genre is growing. We will play as brave mice and tracking dogs.

Games for two are in vogue, but mostly these are small and simple games – jumping games, logic adventures or arcade games. But finding a truly challenging game with a great story, outstanding production quality, and the ability to play with two people from the comfort of your couch? It’s almost a small miracle.

Luckily, there are studios like Hazelight that are proving that collaboration can be beneficial, too. If the title doesn’t ring a bell, it’s worthy of hits like It Takes Two, this year’s Split Fiction, or the older A Way Out, a darker but very original game that definitely deserves more attention than it initially received.

If you’re like me and always looking for another two-player game, you’ve probably tried Unravel, Overcooked or Tools up. While these tricks often test your relationship more than partner therapy, they are guaranteed to be fun.

In October, the anticipated Little Nightmares III was added to them. This time it offers the opportunity to play together, but there is one small drawback – cooperation only works online. Sure, split-screen can impact performance, but let’s face it: who wouldn’t sacrifice quality to enjoy two-player co-op gaming? It’s a bit ironic that you can play a game with the AI, but not with your partner. But if you have two devices, you can still enjoy the horror atmosphere together – and easily under one roof.
