Windows 11 22H2, also known as patch KB5021255, has been around for more than three weeks, but Windows Latest has seen a surge in posts from Reddit team members and the Microsoft Feedback Hub claiming it confuses even the best. The post also notes that games may not run smoothly after the update with stutters and frame rate drops, though it doesn’t say where those sources come from. Outside of AMD’s camp, other bugs include issues with the Microsoft Edge browser, the Start menu, and the “Requirements not met” notification that keeps popping up on PCs that need to be compliant.
Microsoft has yet to officially comment on the new issues, but this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this patch malfunction with certain hardware. Microsoft previously acknowledged that the Windows 11 22H2 update is bad for its GPU, and the company is monitoring the issues to fix them with an as-yet-unplanned follow-up patch in the future.
Fortunately, this is not very common these days. If you experience glitches, uninstalling the patch seems to fix a lot of problems without too much trouble.
