James “Dash” Patterson, will not be participating in the LCS broadcast starting on Thursday, January 26th. The conductor and analyst, via his Twitter profile, announced today that: “After nearly ten years as the welcome person to the LCS, it is with a whirlwind of emotion that I announce that I will not be returning to the LCS this year in the same capacity.

I know that there will be many questions right away why this decision was made, but, in short, the new leadership of the LCS does not need a permanent guest. However, I will still be involved in key moments and some of the content from time to time. My team is actively discussing with Riot the possibility of working together in 2023 because I want to be as active as possible in the LCS.

Just like I accidentally joined the LCS, I am now moving on to the next chapter of my career. For the first time in 10 years I have the opportunity to work on new things and today during my stream I will talk about what could be and answer all your questions. twitch.tv/thejamesdash

I am extremely grateful to Riot for giving a relatively unknown player a chance 10 years ago, and for giving me the time, support, and opportunity to become the host I am today.

Thanks for the love and support so far, can’t wait for the next one! Stay healthy, take care of yourself and be kind to each other.”
