With the Disney Dreamlight Valley Toy Story update in full swing, gamers are wondering: where, oh, where is Stitch? The adorable little alien will join the ever-growing list of games of life as part of the update, but he’s currently nowhere to be found. Gameloft, however, has made some (not so) subtle hints that it will crash later this week.
To unlock Stitch, players must collect… socks. Yes, socks. It turns out that the little blue menace is stealing the comfortable shoes of the villagers, so you will have to locate one every five days to summon it from the sky.
Some have already managed to do this with Nintendo Switch’s “time skip” feature, which allows players to change the time on their console and skip days. While the developers frown on this (they say it’s not “intended gameplay”) and encourage players to search for quest items, many have already added Stitch to their voucher.
However, a new post from the official DDV Twitter account confirms that Stitch will arrive in the Valley at the end of the week and advises players to look for the moved items before he arrives. “Something…is wrong in the Valley. Beware of jokes this week! they write.
Attach it’s an image of the game’s winter boot screen, but several different characters were drawn with black marker. The criminal, standing to the left of the player character, has adorned himself with a glowing, glowing halo.
“This definitely applies to Stitch,” wrote one of the players. “It reminds me of how at Disneyland, when Stitch’s Great Escape opened, the whole castle was covered in toilet paper.”
The second comment reads: “I guess this is a way of implying that people should be looking for the next sock right now. The vast majority of gamers probably don’t log into Reddit or Discord, so they probably aren’t aware of the five-day timer for Stitch’s quest.
As someone who plays very casually, I didn’t know about the new Stitch quest. This post definitely intrigued me, so I’m really glad that DDV developers are so active on social media! It also confirms that the little blue bomb will appear sooner rather than later, and I’m very excited. The best Christmas present, right?
