Cyberpunk 2077 it was originally assumed that as a DLC he would receive a multiplayer mode. Everything has always been delayed until at least 2022. Everything was then put on hold with the possibility of cancellation, until eventually everything disappeared from CD Projekt Red’s plans.

“The priority was to make the core experience work best for the players…shifting priorities meant abandoning other R&D projects…Instead of focusing primarily on one big online experience, we focused on making online for all of our franchises one day,” said Weber. “We’re building online technologies that can be easily integrated into the development of our future games. Let’s stress, though, that CD Projekt Red makes single-player, story-driven, top-notch RPGs – that’s not going to change.”
