It’s been a year since the release of Battlefield 2042 and FPS games have come a long way. However, developer EA/DICE has more plans and now they’ve given some hints of what’s to come after Season 3 in a Battlefield 2042 roadmap update.
First, there will be two updates this season, the first of which will be released at the end of December. The 3.1 update for Battlefield 2042 will feature a redesigned version of the initial manifest map, with more realistic flags and better map visibility.
The second update of Season 3 will be released “early next year” and will include a major overhaul of the Arctic Breakaway map. In the redesigned version, the entire oil rig has been brought closer to the rest of the action and the flags have been completely rearranged.
Update 3.2 will also be the official reintroduction of the classic Battlefield class system, which has received a lot of feedback since the launch of Battlefield 2042. EA/DICE say they learned a lot in the process and the feedback they’ve received on specialists in 2042 will help. to make a decision about future Battlefield games.
Season 4 will most likely launch in March and add a new final specialist to Battlefield 2042. While EA/DICE aren’t quite ready to reveal the specialist yet, the developers say they will be part of the Scout class, so wait. . you to someone who knows a lot about long-range sights.
Also in Season 4, players can look forward to a modified version of Discarded. EA/DICE say they are still working on updating the only remaining launch card after this one, Hourglass, and will have more information on when it will be added to the game in the next development update – wait for the start of the new year. .
Season 5 won’t have a new Operator, the devs say 14 is the number they’re happy with, but it will include the usual new map, new gear, new vehicles, and a battle pass.
