The group stage of the Honor of Kings International Championship 2022 (KIC2022), the flagship event of the Honor of Kings competitive system, has been announced. The biggest event of the year, the competition has an unprecedented format with 16 teams (8 from the KPL region and 8 from other regions) vying for a total prize pool of $10 million, with each team guaranteeing at least ＄250,000 to enter group stage. Four groups were determined after the regional qualification stage, where the champion teams of their local tournaments won a place in the next stage of the competition. Qualified teams will compete for the title of world champions.
Among the teams participating in the finals are RED Canids Kalunga, representing Brazil and champion of the 2022 Honor of Kings International Championship – Brazil Qualifier, who defeated several organizations on the national stage, including Vivo Keyd Stars in the regional grand final. With Niap, Dani, Mist, Fusion and Sá RED Canids, Kalunga will take on Chendgu.AG, Scarz and FoshanDRG GK in the KIC2022 group stage.
“Honor of Kings International Championship 2022” is the biggest event to date and will be held in two major cities: Shenzhen, China and Seoul, South Korea. The best teams from China, South Korea, Brazil, Turkey, Latin America – Mexico, Japan, South Asia, Thailand, the Middle East and North Africa will fight for the title of world champion.
