League of Legends Patch Notes: 12.21 Adds K’Sante, More Blitz Nerfs

The League of Legends patch notes for update 12.21 focus on the new MOBA champion, K’Santa, Nazuma’s Pride. He will introduce new Empyrean skins, as well as much-needed buffs and nerfs for champions like Miss Fortune, Blitzcrank, and Corki.

But back to Q’Santa. Breaking stereotypes about MOBA’s first queer black champion, we’ve got a full rundown of Q’Sante’s abilities and a release date so you’ll be ready to jump into the game when the time comes.

In addition to Q’Santa, Bell’Vet, Blitzcrank, and Miss Fortune received much-needed nerfs, while weaker champions like Ahri and Corky received various buffs.

Jungle Blitzcrank: The Neverending Saga

Once again, Riot had to nerf the giant steam golem in an attempt to make it more viable in the jungle. Rusty Bucket is still great as a support, so the developers reduced the base health and magic resist, as well as the attack speed provided by his Overdrive.

Hopefully this will make him a bit more vulnerable to magic-focused mages and champions, while also meaning he can’t just run away and destroy them outright.

Game Remake Updates

• We’re shortening the replay time so you can replay a match when someone’s absence starts to affect the competitive integrity of the match, if they’ve been absent since the match began. This patch does not significantly change the base systems and additional work is planned to make the changed functionality more fault tolerant.
• Remake available from 15:00 ⇒ Remake will be available from 13:30 to 15:00
• At 3:00, the team in question has 60 seconds to start voting by typing “/remake” in chat ⇒ If the remake conditions are met between the start of the game and 3:00, teams will have between 1 :30 and 3:00. to start voting for a new version, type “/remake”. You will always have at least 30 seconds to write/redo from met conditions, so if conditions are met at 2:59, you have until 3:29 to start voting.
• Remake is now available in ARAM and Rotating Game modes with the same updated rules.
