The Fallout: New Vegas mod modifies power armor to match the old games.

A new and improved Fallout: New Vegas mod takes the visual frustration out of Power Armor. In the wake of Bethesda’s RPG Fallout 3, which reintroduced huge masses of steel and power to the series as casual clothing that required some training, retro-futuristic military armor left a lot to be desired in open-world games. Power armor has been the visual shorthand for Fallout for 25 years, and now the revamped New Vegas treats it with the respect it deserves.

Titled Titans of the New West 2.0 by Woooombat, this mod is a 2020 mod update for Fallout: New Vegas that adds new power armor content, features, optimizations, and expanded support for Fallout: New Vegas mods.

The main improvement introduced by this Fallout: New Vegas mod is cosmetic and aims to turn power armor into the “heavier, bulkier and more imposing” proportions it’s known for, something Bethesda did in Fallout 4. Woooombat says the Armor power should now look more like it did in the classic games, with lots of mesh and texture improvements across the board.

Pip-Boy is also now properly integrated into Power Armor and has an in-game menu tool on his bracelets. There are even new animations to help present the scale and weight of the power armor, as well as a proper power armor run.

Enclave armor is now more reminiscent of its appearance in Fallout 2, and the recovered NCR armor is now “unskilled and proudly different from the standard non-factioned T45d Brotherhood of Steel armor.”

The remastered version of the Fallout: New Vegas mod even has additional content that “includes alternate machine gun idle animation, mapped world items for all armor, unique display models for the Enclave in Remnants Bunker, and a winterized T51b. Vehicles armored vehicles at Anchorage Outpost and United States Headquarters.”

You can find “Titans of the New West 2.0” on Nexus Mods, but it requires other mods to work, so it’s a good idea to check the description and make sure your mods match.

If you’re looking for more Fallout content, we’ll bring you everything we know about the Fallout 5 release date, single player, and the latest from Bethesda, plus a list of the best Fallout 4 mods.
