The Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 returns to the space game, giving players the opportunity to farm a new sniper rifle, earn and upgrade robot-inspired gear, complete quests in an all-new event card, and purchase candy. our old friend Eva Levante.
Festival of the Lost is a Destiny tradition, the first of which took place in the original game as a surprise event in 2015. Since then, it has become one of the most anticipated events of the year as players encounter a class of creatures called the Headless in haunted Lost Sectors throughout the Destiny 2 universe.
The Headless always have a few tricks to keep players on the hunt for rewards, so luckily this year’s event is full of surprises as well.
The Haunted Lost Sector rotation will now include a new location in the EDZ in addition to the sectors from last year’s event. Festival of the Lost also introduces new skins, including some of the most memorable characters from past seasons, like Rulk and Sawatoon.
This year’s event also includes a new armor set designed as a result of a player survey earlier this year. Players can upgrade the Gundam-inspired armor set by completing festival challenges, and it’s available to all players whether or not they have the Destiny 2 expansions.
Players can also get the cleverly named Mechabre, a new sniper rifle, which is a bow-shaped sniper rifle with an aggressive body.
Lastly, there is also a new event card that will award players who are willing to pay $10 for additional cosmetics as a reward for completing certain challenges. The event card doubles as a mini battle pass, and Bungie introduced the concept earlier this year with the Solstice in-game event.
To collect rewards, players must earn candy throughout the event. The main way to get candy is by wearing a festive mask instead of a standard helmet while completing tasks in the haunted section. Guardians can then deliver their candies to Eva Levante for a reward.
While Destiny 2 players will no doubt be drawn to the Festival of the Lost events, there are plenty of other things to do in the game when the season ends. Guardians can find out which Nightfall weapons are in rotation this week with our Nightfall Destiny 2 weapons guide. There’s also the option to rally your clanmates for the raid, and our King’s Fall Raid guide will tell you everything. you need to know to win. the most destiny. feared monster, Oryx.
