Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: T1, physical issues for MkLeo

Leonardo “MkLeo” Lopez Perez, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate due to health issues that prevent him from traveling, he will not be taking part in some of the scheduled activities. A Mexican pro T1 told the whole story via TwitLonger:

“I am very sorry to say this, but I had some health problems. I’ve always suffered with my ears, but now I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t hear well, I feel like I’ve lost some of my hearing, and that hurts too. I went to the doctor yesterday and he advised me not to get on the plane until we know what’s going on. I have to do some research and take the medicine for a week and see what happens, in the worst case, I will have reduced hearing for life.

This week I was supposed to participate in Battle of Z in Montreal, but, unfortunately, I cannot fly to the event. I want to apologize to Z and the entire Canadian community that made this event possible, the least I can do is to ask you to support this event, I know how much effort goes into this, so do it. I feel sorry for everyone who wanted to see me there.

I’m still not 100% sure if I can visit Ludwig next weekend. I can only rest and take care of myself. Time will tell.

This changes my entire tournament schedule, so I need time to think about the tournaments I’m going to attend. Thanks for reading and understanding. Now I know what my goals are, I want to continue competing, I feel motivated, but for now I have to take care of my health. If I want to give my all, I will make sure I feel better.”
