There are real construction experts from Valheim creating amazing structures in Iron Gate early access survival game. Fortunately, some of them are more than happy to share their techniques with other players, and the latest project from one of these amazing architects will teach you some great strategies for creating the perfect roof designs in a game.
True to its name, The Friendly Gamer is on a mission to help Valheim gamers design more realistic and sloped roofs for their houses and other buildings. As they explain, in real life, roofs tend to cover the walls of buildings to ensure they provide adequate cover and allow rain to drain away. Using small, meter-long wooden beams, they show how to build a “roof frame” around the edges of their buildable buildings.
Once you strip away the basic structure, Player Friendly will have plenty of opportunity to take it to the next level. Taking two different approaches to a round building as an example, they show how to create a basic frame for a round dome structure, or an extended arrowhead frame that results in a more sophisticated roof design. They also explain how to build a stepped ceiling for an even more dramatic finish, with clear and concise examples.
You can view their roofing strategy boards on Reddit Valheim, where they have already received a very positive response from the community. One commenter even commented, “I’m a real roofer and the shit you do is amazing and actually applies to real life.” As if that wasn’t enough, they have another set of alternative designs that they describe as “built from the inside out, not from the outside”.
If you’re not quite sure what this means, or if you’re more of a visual learner, they also translate this into a helpful six-part video series. At the time of this writing, the first two parts are currently available: the first is a brief introduction to a more realistic roof, and the second shows how to build a round roof and fill in the gaps in your roof in a functional and pleasing way. . about.
The friendly gamer is no stranger to wacky builds: developer Iron Gate chose them for August’s famous Valheim Build of the Month, a pretty impressive bridge with (you guessed it) incredibly detailed roof tower designs. What better way to start decorating your builds than with his top tips?
With the recent addition of Valheim to Game Pass and the addition of cross-play to one of the best co-op games on PC, it’s time to start your adventure. We don’t have a set release date yet for the major Valheim Mistlands update, but we’ll be sure to update you on the latest news as it becomes available.
