The next update to Forza Horizon 5 will add a suite of open world racing game features designed to make it more accessible to players with disabilities. Along with new cars, body kits, and a new festival playlist, Forza Horizon 5 will add customizable headsets for your in-game character to wear.

Playground Games previously said that accessibility was a major pillar of Forza Horizon 5’s design, and this is reflected in the accessibility, difficulty, and character customization options that were available at launch. However, the studio expanded both feature sets by adding picture-in-picture sign language interpretation options shortly after launch. Now, in addition to the prosthetics already available in character customization, Forza Horizon 5 will feature four types of customizable hearing aids.

In the new clothing tab titled “Amplification” in character customization, you can find In-Ear Hearing Aids (ite), Behind-the-Ear Hearing Aids (bte), Bone Hearing Aids (Baha). and cochlear implants. Each type can be worn on the left or right side, and they all come in a wide variety of colors and patterns.

You will be able to use the new headset as soon as you download and install the next Forza Horizon 5 update, which will be released on September 13.

Also known as the Horizon Road Trip update, the patch also adds a set of new vehicles and some new widebody kits for existing vehicles. The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N features the new ADRO USA widebody kit, while the 2010 Volkswagen Golf R features the APR Performance Inc.

Every week from September 15 to October 13, a new list of seasonal events dedicated to a particular type of race will be published. Road racing will be held in the summer, cross country will be the main focus in the fall, winter will switch to street racing, and in the spring it will be off-road racing. There will also be a new five-event Season Championship Race each week, as well as a Goliath-style course to match this week’s theme.

You can check out the Forza Horizon 5 Steam page for more details on the update, including a list of new cars coming this season.
