Nvidia RTX 4090 GPUs appear online with ridiculous price tags

The Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU is hitting stores soon and Gigabyte’s options look attractively priced. Australian retailers currently offer overclocked graphics cards for over $3,000, suggesting you may need to pay more for a dedicated GeForce PC gaming upgrade.

The three Gigabyte RTX 4090 GPUs are currently listed on three stores, namely Australian PCAOS stores, Computersperth, and Vietnamese retailer Kccshop (via Wccftech).

Specific models include the Gigabyte RTX 4090 Windforce 3X, Gaming OC, and Aorus Master, priced from AU$4,550 ($3,113) to AU$4,270 (about $2,920). The Windforce 3X listing on Kccshop doesn’t appear to have a price, but it appears to be available for pre-order.

We strongly advise you to take these early RTX 4090 custom prices with a lot of skepticism because Nvidia has not announced an official RTX 4000 MSRP. It boils down to estimates.

Bananas Board partner pricing aside, RTX 4090 leaks suggest it will be twice as fast as the RTX 3090. Naturally, this unprecedented level of power may require a higher price tag, but with the introduction of For AMD’s new RDNA 3 GPUs, the company’s pricing will need to remain somewhat competitive.
