Disney Dreamlight Valley Toy Story and Lion King expansion content was revealed for the Animal Crossing-like game following its release on Steam Early Access and PC Game Pass. The newcomer is already struggling to claim a spot among the best lifestyle games on PC, with Gameloft senior producer Manea Kastet describing Disney’s potential pool of characters as an “almost limitless source of creativity” for the team’s work in an interview after Disney and Marvel. Showcase of the games on September 9.
“There are many, many great Disney and Pixar movies with great characters,” Kastet told IGN. “We have lots of plans to expand the roster and add more characters, more stories, etc.” Fans are sure to be impressed with the potential list of famous faces and magical places that could be coming to Dreamlight Valley in the months and years to come.
Brass Knuckles goes on to describe an addition that fans will soon see regarding the magical doors of Dream Castle in the heart of Dream Valley. “There’s a Disney movie behind every door, so it’s a little Disney or Pixar movie-inspired bubble where you meet these characters, have fun, solve mysteries and puzzles. When you’re done, they’ll come to your valley and have their own little story in the valley, too.”
So how many stories can we expect to see? “We have unlimited potential with Disney and Pixar movies,” explains Kastet, “and we have unlimited doors at Dream Castle.” It’s certainly an ambitious conversation, but there’s no denying the sheer number of different properties and characters that Gameloft can work with.
During an interview, a teaser video with Woody and Buzz Lightyear reveals toy story the expansion is one of the first on the cards, but something else is on the way first. Announces Brass Knuckles: “I can confirm that very soon, even before Toy Story comes out, we will see Scar from The Lion King“. Brass Knuckles says that Scar “will be coming to the Vale very soon, and not only, he will play a key role in the main story of the game.” Brass Knuckles even hints at a “big twist,” but declines to go into detail at this point.
