Psyonix has announced that Season 5 of Rocket League Sideswipe will begin very soon. The start date is September 7, 2022. The new season will, as always, include a new Rocket pass, new seasonal challenges, and also see the return of Volleyball mode in ranked matches.
Season 5 Rocket Pass will be futuristic themed and will include items such as the Chikara G1 Car, “Holo Data” Burst, Masamune Car, ROBO-Visor Hat and Hexphase Boost. As in other seasons, players will have the opportunity to complete new challenges to gain XP and SP to level up.
In addition to all the new cosmetic items, the 2v2 Volleyball mode will return to the leaderboards, replacing the Hoops mode. Players who win ten matches with the new Masamune car or complete five online volleyball matches in a group will receive “grand prizes”.
Finally, all Season 4 rewards will be given after Season 5 begins.
