The blue team has yet to officially announce the release date for Intel Raptor Lake, but that hasn’t stopped leakers from spreading rumors about possible release dates. However, recently released internal documents may save the company the trouble of officially informing us about its upcoming 13th Gen Core processor series.
Presentation slide posted by a Twitter user wxnodseems to indicate that the Intel Raptor Lake release date will fall on October 20, 2022. However, it appears that pre-orders for various SKUs of the 13th Gen Core series will be distributed prior to launch.
Analysis and translation of a slide from Videocardz reveals that the top gaming processor in the Raptor Lake lineup, the Core i9 13900K, will be available for pre-order starting September 27. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the Core i7 13700K and Core i5 13600K will start from October 13, just a week before their scheduled release date.
We expect Intel Raptor Lake chips to be officially unveiled with the information on this slide on September 27 at the company’s Intel Innovation event. The presentation will most likely contain benchmarks comparing the new CPUs to 12th Gen Core processors and the Ryzen 5000 series.
This should help us understand how 13th Gen Intel Core processors will compare to Ryzen 7000 series processors, but naturally we’ll have to verify the claims made by the Blue and Red teams in their reviews of new products.
