A good Minecraft map can take you anywhere. Sometimes it will be the world of Bikini Bottom with the SpongeBob SquarePants DLC, and other times it will be the world of Breath of the Wild thanks to some mods. Instead, today’s map will take you on a journey through history.
Now we know not everyone is into the story, it’s a bit boring and a lot of us miss the real dragons, but that doesn’t stop it from being worth checking out sometimes. That’s what the Peace Builders map aims to do, which is designed to follow four Nobel Peace Prize winners on their journey to make the world a better place.
There’s a lot to learn here, even if you’re just Watch the trailer. Little bits of information, like the prize named after Alfred Nobel, who invented dynamite, for example, is something you might not know. The card features Jody Williams, an anti-landmine activist; Desmond Tutu, who helped end apartheid in South Africa; and Carl von Ossietzky, who helped uncover the horrors of the Nazis.
It’s not a standard Minecraft map, but it’s worth it if you want to learn more about the history of the people who did good in the world, not just those who harmed it. It’s also good to learn something while playing, which usually happens in Minecraft: Education Edition.
After learning all about the price of peace, why not check out some cool Minecraft houses while your brain takes care of things? You can also learn how to plant mangroves in Minecraft before participating in the mangrove restoration project. After all, we can all help improve our virtual worlds.
