Ferrari makes its Rocket League debut

The Ferrari 296 GTB is coming to Rocket League on all platforms starting August 31. It’s modeled after the same hybrid sports car that made its real-world debut a few months ago.

For 2,000 in-game credits, players will be able to purchase the Ferrari 296 GTB Bundle from the Item Shop, which includes the car itself and the following associated cosmetic items:

Kit items are exclusive to the Ferrari 296 GTB and are not customized with other branded content. Competitors interested in purchasing the pack should also note that the Ferrari 296 GTB will operate the same as the Dominus and will have the same hitbox.

Additionally, as part of their first collaboration, fans of the brand who don’t want to pay will be offered a free Ferrari player banner. Rocket League showcased the power and sleekness of the sports car in a trailer to promote the upcoming release.

As the World Cup wraps up on August 15, Rocket League remains a standout game in esports. The free game has continued to attract players from around the world since its launch in 2015, and according to Active Player, the game has averaged nearly 90 million monthly players over the past 30 days.

Ferrari, one of the world’s leading sports car manufacturers, has sought to capitalize on Rocket League’s large player base by giving fans the opportunity to drive their own Ferrari. At the bottom of the luxury car brands that will have crossover cars in the game, Ferrari will join Aston Martin, BMW, Ford, Lamborghini and McLaren in the car football arena.

The Ferrari 296 GTB will be available in the Item Shop for a limited time only. The partnership ends on September 6, just one day before the start of the game’s seventh season.
