Roblox trading just got easier with a new feature that allows users to trade directly with other people on the item’s merchant list. While the sandbox game has long offered players the ability to use Robux to purchase an item from a retailer on the retailer list, the interface now includes the ability to trade directly with the user. This feature, currently in beta testing, simplifies the process that previously required navigating to a person’s profile and initiating a transaction.
Tapping the trade button opens the trade window and automatically adds the item to the trade, similar to the Roblox Rolimon trade fansite. shared on twitter. The tool appears to recognize whether the user initiating the trade has the ability to trade with a particular user. For example, if a Roblox user asks the person initiating a transaction to follow them, that person will still need to follow them to facilitate the transaction. Some merchants enable this setting as a measure against bots spamming Roblox merchants.
Trading used to be a more complicated process. The dealer list only lists items to buy, so someone who wants to start a transaction would need to go to the user’s profile and start the transaction that way.
Unfortunately, the platform still requires a Roblox Premium subscription to bid, so non-members won’t be able to take advantage of the new feature.
It’s just the latest effort that shows Roblox is getting more and more interested in its trading community. For some Robloxians, trading is a huge draw. While popular games like Adopt Me! and Pet Simulator X excels at trading game mechanics, many people use Roblox to buy, sell, and trade avatar items.
Trading on the platform is becoming increasingly popular due to the demand for limited edition or “limited” items. These items have a limited number of copies and will become unavailable on the platform after a certain quantity has been sold or after a certain period of time. So players who want certain items but missed out on the initial sale must either trade with other users or spend Robux to buy them from users who already have them. Lately, Roblox seems to be increasing the number of limited items in its arsenal, such as last line of 8-bit elements Y NARS layered garment brand activation.
