Alienware QD-OLED gaming monitor can get rid of flex

Alienware’s new QD-OLED gaming monitor appears to have been leaked online and looks like a flat version of the existing model. This option may appeal to gaming PC enthusiasts who aren’t cursed with glitches and maintain similar specs, screen size, and features.

I observe Harukase5719, the Alienware gaming monitor in question appears to be a flat-panel version of the QD-OLED AW3423DW, a display with an HDR effect. According to a listing on the Korean government website, the 34-inch display will ship with the model number “AW3423DWF,” but it’s unclear exactly when it will arrive.

Curved PC gaming monitors aren’t for everyone, and the flat QD-OLED version of the AW3423DW may appeal to anyone looking for a high-quality display for gaming. The current iteration is priced at $1,300, but the curves drop may be priced lower. However, the leaked list doesn’t include the AW3423DWF specs, so we’ll have to wait and see if it works more or less well.

It’s still early days for QD-OLED to rank among the best gaming monitors, and options like Samsung and Alienware have curved panels. If a flat version of the AW3423DW becomes available, it could cause manufacturers to move away from the concave case in favor of a conventional case, especially if it proves more popular.

Of course, there are other displays on the market besides OLED, and mini LED displays like the AOC AGON Pro AG274QXM are a great alternative. However, if you’re looking for an organic display without the flex, Alienware might have the answer.
