The system requirements for No Man’s Sky have been revised and the intergalactic adventure will apparently run on iGPU. Yep, you don’t even need a special graphics card to explore the depths of Hello Games’ sci-fi survival game, and it doesn’t look like a slideshow.
Based on the No Man’s Sky system requirements, you can run gaming PCs with Intel UHD graphics, an integrated gaming processor that eliminates the need for a dedicated GPU. Oddly enough, Hello Games doesn’t list any recommended specs on its Steam page, but if you want increased frame rates and gaming on higher settings, you’ll need to upgrade to at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.
Minimum | advised | |
exploitation system | windows 10 64 bit | windows 10 64 bit |
---|---|---|
CPU | Intel Core i3 | n/a |
RAM | 8GB | n/a |
GPU | Nvidia GTX 1060, AMD RX 470, Intel UHD Graphics 630 | n/a |
video memory | 3GB | n/a |
storage | 15GB | 15GB |
The rest of Hello Games’ minimum specs aren’t great either, as you’ll only need an Intel Core i3 processor and 8GB of RAM. Again, playing the game on the best gaming PC with an RTX 3090 Ti is going to be completely different, but if you just want to play on low-end hardware or a gaming laptop, you win. you don’t have to try very hard.
The idea of playing No Man’s Sky on an iGPU might seem absurd, but the game can be played without an actual graphics card. According to YouTuber RandomGaminginHD, you can get a decent frame rate by changing the settings and using the scaling options. By reducing all settings to a minimum and selecting 50% enhancement to 1080p, gaming PC enthusiasts can achieve 30+ fps with an Intel UHD 730-compatible chip.
No Man’s Sky is tested on the Steam Deck, but maybe that makes sense considering it will even run on Intel i3 graphics. You won’t need to work as much with Valve’s portable powerhouse though, as you should be able to hit decent frame rates and maintain decent visuals.
