Persona fans are the most eager to see Persona 3 Remake and Persona 2 Remake on modern platforms, including Steam, according to the results of a global consumer survey released by Atlus. The JRPG series continues its transition to PC, with Persona 5 Royal available in October, followed by Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden selling well on Steam.
Now, the “Atlus Survey 2022 Special Program” broadcast is reporting that fans of the series are more eager to see the remakes of the second and third installments of the series, according to Persona Central. The key question of the survey, answered by almost 45,000 participants around the world, was whether fans would like to play “a new version of the game with new elements added, improved visuals, controls and more”.
78.9% of respondents said they would like to play remakes of Persona 3 (including Persona 3, P3 FES, and P3 Portable) and Persona 2 (combining P2: Innocent Sin and P2: Eternal Punishment). They are followed by Revelations: Persona (the first in the series) and then Persona 4 with the various Shin Megami Tensei and Devil Summoner titles further down the list.
While these numbers are obviously high due to the fact that the survey is aimed at fans, Atlus’s choice to ask this question publicly suggests that they are considering such options in the future. While you wait for more Persona on PC, there are plenty of other JRPGs to check out, including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which Square Enix says won’t change its story from the original Final Fantasy VII.
