Blizzard Entertainment today announced that Horde and Alliance forces will get another chance to defeat one of the world’s most iconic villains. World of Warcraft® from September 26, when the company launches Wrath of the Lich King Classic™an authentic recreation of the critically acclaimed second expansion Blimey®, free for all players with an active subscription. The expansion will release worldwide at 7:00 pm ET and will be available in all realms World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic™.
To confront the Lich King, players will embark on a treacherous journey through winter forests and snow-capped peaks. Northrend Continentthe largest territory Blizzard has ever added to a game with an expansion (prior to the release of World of Warcraft: Flight of Dragons™). There they will see some of the most magnificent scenery and most memorable stories in Warcraft.®as they fight their way to Icecrown to defeat one of the most sinister threats Azeroth has ever seen.

With expansion comes formidable Heroic Death Knights, available to all players from level 55. The former champions of the Lich King, Death Knights subdue their enemies with dark magic and the power of runes. The expansion also contains the original iteration achievement system in World of Warcraftto celebrate a wide range of player exploits, and with the introduction profession inscriptionwhich allows players to apply glyphs that can enhance abilities, change the appearance, and change the properties of spells and abilities.
Players will be able to test their knowledge and new skills in 13 unforgettable dungeons in The wrath of the Lich King™such as Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom, where you will face the minions of the Old God Yogg-Saron and the plague-ridden Purge of Stratholme, which recreates the tragic historical event of Warcraft that led to the fall of Prince Arthas. Those seeking the ultimate challenge may face 9 raids introduced in the expansion, such as updated versions of Naxxramas and Onyxia’s Lair from the pre-expansion World of Warcraftand, of course, Icecrown Citadel, where the story of the Lich King comes to a cinematic conclusion.
In preparation for launch, players can head to Fun Journeys, a 50% XP bonus event that will continue until launch The wrath of the Lich King, 26 September. Before launch for all subscribers Blimey will be able to create one Death Knight on the classic game world, which can be leveled up to 70 through content Classic Burning Crusade™ until September 26th. In addition, players will also be able to purchase additional upgrades such as new cosmetic items and a character level up to 70 for those who have not yet fully advanced their character.
