Dead by Daylight players are happy with the kill switch in Clown. Behavior Interactive has announced that it will temporarily replace The Clown due to issues reported by players.

Clown’s kill switch prevents him from being selected after a bug made him faster than intended. This prevention will continue until the issue is resolved. This issue was caused by Clown Bottles, which created a constant acceleration effect. Once the problem is solved, the Clown will be reactivated.
Kill Switch is the latest feature added to Dead by Daylight. Gives developers the ability to temporarily disable items/offers/maps/cosmetics/characters that are causing gameplay issues to keep the fun going. When using the Kill Switch, selecting items/offers/cosmetics/characters will fail. Cards are automatically removed from rotation and cannot be selected in custom decks.
Dead by Daylight has created a specific page that players can visit to see the main Kill Switch list. The list has two sections that list enabled and disabled items. Players can visit the page and read a summary of what has been disabled and why. There is also a list of known issues that are not disabled.
