The Intel Core i9 13900K will be the best gaming CPU in the Team Blue Raptor Lake lineup when the company launches its new LGA 1700 processors later this year, and it will finally show up on Geekbench. New chips usually appear on the benchmarking website before launch, listing core and thread counts as well as clock speeds.
We already knew that the Intel Core i9 13900K would have 24 cores and 32 threads, but this Geekbench entry (via BenchLeaks) gives an idea of the clock speeds we can expect from the processor. Compared to the 12900K, the base clock of the Raptor Lake processor is 600 MHz higher at 3.0 GHz and its clock speed is also increased by 300 MHz at 5.5 GHz.
However, the 13900K was able to hit 5.7 GHz briefly, which could indicate that it could be faster even than the monstrous Core i9 12900KS combined with a better CPU cooler. However, as with all leaks, this should be taken with a grain of salt.
We don’t yet know how the Core i9 13900K will stack up against the flagship Ryzen 7000 processor, but those clock speeds could be a boon to the Blue Team’s ambitions.
