The release date for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the sequel to Ubisoft’s 2017 co-op game Mario + Rabbids, has reportedly been leaked by Ubisoft itself.
Ubisoft has not officially announced a release date for the unlikely expansion. Instead, Eagle Eye fans noticed the Ubisoft Store release date set for Mario + Rabbids 2. The game will be released on October 20, 2022.
Unfortunately, as of this writing, Ubisoft has removed the game’s release date listing, suggesting the date was leaked early. The listing now only says the game will be released in 2022.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope aims to maintain much the same turn-based style as Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. In Sparks of Hopes, players will create their own character roster by choosing from a variety of options, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Mario, and the new Rabbid Rosalina.
Players are tasked with saving sparks in the galaxy, providing different powers to aid the player in battle. Game levels are slightly different from the original, set to be less linear and away from the grid-based layout.
