Monoprice just released a couple of new USB Type-C dongles that might be just what you need for your gaming laptop, especially if you regularly connect to multiple monitors (via Laptop Mag). Also, these adapters are equipped with HDMI and DisplayPort connectors and can support high resolution and much more.
The Monoprice USB-C to Dual 4K HDMI Adapter basically does what it says on the tin, giving you the ability to connect up to two 4K 60Hz monitors to your laptop through a single USB-C port. Of course, you’ll still need to run cables from your displays, but this should allow you to quickly switch between setups and expand the capabilities of even the best gaming laptop.
Whether you use the Monoprice USB-C to Dual 4K DisplayPort Adapter or its HDMI equivalent, both adapters support wide dynamic range. Not only will this allow you to play some HDR games, but you can also work on photo or video projects, or simply stream high dynamic range Netflix content.
