Here’s what you need to know about the main vehicles in Horizon Forbidden West.
Aloe has many skills at her disposal. All of these mechanics serve him well in the fight against the Forbidden West, from focusing to moving, culminating in impressive bows and arrows. One skill that matters is car redundancy.
Learning how to manage cars was an integral part of game progression in Zero Dawn. It still exists in the Forbidden West, but the game doesn’t require you to unlock the skill right away.
Luckily, we’ve explained exactly what you need to do to overcome the cars.

To unlock the ability to overtake cars, you must visit and complete Kazan. There are a total of six cauldrons on the horizon in the Forbidden West. Two of the six are available as the main story, while the others are optional.
Once you cross the Cauldron Road, you unlock the ability to defeat certain cars. However, some machines will have corrupted data and have additional requirements before they can exceed them. For example, you may need to migrate certain parts of the device to the Hub (blocked via the main story) before ignoring this or that device.
Once you’ve unlocked the ability to line up certain cars, you’ll need to sneak past them in the wild and hold down the triangle button. You will notice that you need to do this when this option is available. This will allow the car to fight you or, in some cases, find itself as support.
Horizon Forbidden West is now coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
