With Heizou’s likely release date at least five weeks away, there are plenty of weapon options that could be worth your while. We chose the Sunshine Gem, a five-star weapon that allows normal attacks to boost elemental abilities and explode, and vice versa.
Another option is Skyward Atlas, which increases elemental damage by up to 24%, especially useful if you’re going to trigger the Whirlwind reaction. This weapon also causes normal attacks to have a 50% chance to trigger Grace of the Clouds, which actively seeks out nearby enemies to attack, dealing up to 320% attack damage.
If you want Heizou to play a supporting role, there are several other more convenient options for free players. Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is one of the best 3-star catalysts and a great choice for casters who won’t be spending much time in the field. Widseat is four stars and a bit harder to get, but it also gives passive buffs to each character that enters the field.
Best Genshin Impact Heizou Artifacts
As for artifacts, we chose the Viridescent Venerer 4-piece set. Two items increase Anemo’s damage by +15%, but a full set increases Whirlwind’s damage by 60% and reduces the resistance of enemies hit by Whirlwind by 40% for ten seconds. Since you’ll be activating Swirl frequently regardless of team composition, this is a pretty powerful set whether you’re using Heizou in your primary DPS slot or not.
An alternative would be Shimenawa’s four-part flashback, which focuses less on elemental combos and more on powering up Heizo’s normal attacks. The full set means that after using an elemental ability, while Heizo has 15 energy or more than usual, charged and accelerated attacks increase attack damage by 50% at the cost of 15 energy. This requires careful management of time and energy, which is why the Viridescent set is preferred.
