Electronic Arts and the Battlefield team presented Battlefield™ 2042 Season 1 – Zero Hour, the first season of content since the launch of the game. Available June 9 on all supported platforms, this season introduces a new vertical emote card, a new Specialist, and tactical additions to the player’s arsenal of weapons and gadgets. These content additions are available to all players for free as part of the new Battle Pass* battlefield 2042. In addition, additional cosmetic items, including legendary textures and melee kills, can be obtained with the Premium version of the Battle Pass.**

In Hour Zero, players will be able to travel to the Canadian Rockies and traverse extreme vertical terrain on the new Expo map. The new environment brings the best of ground-to-air combat as well as closer infantry combat, such as in caves or between mountain peaks. The Exhibition map will be available in Total War and Portal modes after the launch of the first season.

This new season also features Evelina Lis, the newest battlefield 2042, a renowned vehicle fighter with exceptional skills in tracking down and destroying both ground armored vehicles and aircraft. The Fox Rocket Launcher, which fires remotely controlled missiles for greater accuracy, and the valuable information its Armored Fighter attribute provides, makes it a deadly enemy to any vehicle on the ground or in the sky.

Zero Hour also adds many new vehicles and collectibles. Fly new helicopters RAH-68 Huron as well as YG-99 Hannibal, equipped with radar deflection and advanced protective capabilities. Choose from regular, light, heavy, and explosive crossbow ammunition. Ghost Maker R10 and adapt to different combat situations. Destroy enemies from afar in Total War with a sniper rifle BSV-M, ideal for medium range combat. Finally, use the new Smoke grenade launcher in offensive and defensive situations to open up new windows of opportunity and provide extra cover for your squad.

Zero Hour brings with it continued fixes across all patches since release battlefield 2042, targeting stability, gameplay balance, gunplay, vehicle handling, performance and more – as noted, along with the basics of our long-term support, in a recent development update. Battlefield Portal players will see the return of some iconic vehicles and experiences. Creators can look forward to a new game mode preset and expanded rules editor functionality.
