The Genshin Impact 2.7 release date was finally announced on May 31, 2022.
Genshin Impact fans have been waiting for a new version update for a long time. While Genshin Impact is generally extremely on-time when releasing new versions of the game, Mihoyo announced a few weeks ago This 2.7 update has been delayed due to “project progress”. Another Hoyoerse poster claimed the delays were due to Covid-19, so the exact reason for the delay is unclear.
However, this delay finally ended when Mihoyo announced the official release date of the new update live on the special 2.7 release schedule. The update will be released on Tuesday, May 31 at 11:00 UTC. Players will not be able to play the game between 06:00 and 11:00 UTC as the game will be shut down to prepare for the update.
A special live program announced an exciting new content timeline for the game as soon as the update finally goes live. Players will enjoy continuing the main storyline and see the traveler (along with familiar and unfamiliar allies) uncover the secrets of the abyss. Players will also have the option to wish for new characters, including 5-star Hydro Bow user Yelan, as well as 4-star Electro Sword user Kuki Shinobu.
While the delay wasn’t ideal for many Genshin Impact players who were eagerly awaiting new content, Mihoyo rewarded players. Players are rewarded with 400 bounties every week, updates have been delayed, which is very surprising for players who save 2.7 for new banners.
