Like many other game genres, Rockruff can evolve into one of its most accessible formats depending on the time of day. First, you need to collect 50 candies to grow Rockruff. However, Rockruff currently has two possible evolutions in the game: Midday Lycanroc and Midnight Lycanroc.
To get the brown Midday Lycanroc, you need to evolve Rockruff during the day. This means that you must develop it between sunrise and sunset. By the way, to get Red Midnight Lycanroc, you need to evolve Rockruff overnight. This means that you should develop it between sunset and sunrise.
Note that you can also see what form Rockruff will evolve into based on its silhouette in the Pokémon menu. It is the most reliable way to predict the color of the universe.
