Trainers may remember Tangela as one of the first generation Pokémon to take on a new evolutionary form in the fourth generation. Its new form, Tangrowth, didn’t add any extra types or special moves, but gave this Pokemon a weapon! Once the Pokemon understands and equips the Ancient Power move, trainers can turn their tangles into Tangrowth. Pokémon can change their moves at any time, so trainers should be able to control and adjust all entangled captive moves as needed.
Tangella studies the ancient power at level 34 and masters it at level 45. We recommend checking any entanglements of 34 or higher to see if he already knows if he chose the ancient power. If so, replace their moves or adventures with Pokemon until the game indicates the Pokemon is ready to evolve.
Tangela is also known as the “vine” Pokémon, due to its body being made entirely of vines. No one has seen beyond the web of leaves that make up or cover its body. You can spot this Pokémon in Gapejaw Bog in the Crimson Mirelands or in Crossing Slope on the Cobalt Coast.
