A former GameStop employee is suing a retailer for violating New York labor laws, according to Polygon.

That employee, Trevon Mack, filed his proposed class action lawsuit Wednesday in court for the Eastern District of New York.

In the lawsuit, Mack and his attorney argue that GameStop employees should be treated as “craftsmen,” meaning that 25% of their work involves manual labor such as organizing warehouses, moving packages, and long shifts.

GameStop currently pays workers bi-weekly, but New York Labor Code Section 191 requires companies to pay manual workers weekly. If the courts decide that GameStop employees should be classified as manual workers, the company will be found guilty of breaking the law.
