Executive producer Greg Street wrote on Twitter to discuss “there is no guarantee this game will ever be released”. While remaining optimistic, he said the only reason it wasn’t released was because the MMO didn’t meet Riot’s standards.

In the comments, fans asked why the game would be canceled if “every league player and mmorpg player is agitated for this MMO”. Street said, “If it’s not good. Whereas this will disappoint gamers. We don’t want to be a game that develops for two weeks and then disappears.

Riot has made it clear that it will not compromise on quality for the expanding world of League of Legends. With no official details confirmed by Riot Games, League of Legends fans will just have to wait and see.
