As Kyle’s strength began to show in Summoner’s Rift, other champions weren’t able to gain much of an advantage with patch 12.10. After the release of this update, profit margins dropped significantly, and that is what this article is about. This is not the worst champion rank in SoloQ (e.g. we won’t be talking about Ryze because the champion has the lowest wins at 12.9 and 12.10), but champions whose earnings have dropped after the release of several patches. . Finally, this selection is based purely on Platinum ranks and higher SoloQ ranks, so it’s not impossible to see some characters shine in a competitive format, but they struggle in solo.
Tariq, it’s not magic
Valoran’s shield has been a mess since the patch was released. Nothing unreasonable about it, Tariq is a very good champion at delaying enemy explosions, especially with his ultimate cosmic light which can leave allies defenseless for a few seconds. Only if Tarich is more interesting in meta explosions, he is much less so in long fights. Its processing is good, not even compared to other mediums, and its CC is difficult to place definitively. So it makes sense that his usefulness in this new meta is going down, but Tariq is still up from 50.46% to 46.10%, which is an impressive drop. For your information, Taric is currently the fourth worst soloQ champion after Ryze, Aphelios and Lee Sin. (All three are already fighting on 10.9).
Yum, cat then!
The second victim of this patch is a helpless little cat (well, a blow to the face with a few pounds of makeup, that’s also useless). Yumi’s fall is more intriguing than Tarik’s because she should have let her magic resist her better. But the healing and protective nerve is enough to break his legs. However, it remains a very controversial choice, with a ban currently over 30%. The feline potential of the library intrigues a large part of the players. Did it really weaken if it was just a transitory period before the discovery of the new OP structure? Answer in a few weeks, but in the meantime, Yum has dropped from 50% to 47% in game rankings in most regions.
I’ve been on the banks of the Nile, let’s not talk more than that
Renekton is the patch’s third victim. Everything about the patch seems designed to piss off the cross. Detonating Nasus’ brother in the early game makes Resistance Owl less dangerous, reduces his healing neural pathway regeneration, and ultimately longer fights aren’t particularly good for him. (Note that this point does not make it particularly weak, which makes it interesting for long fights even if it is not a specialty of Shurima). Anyway, Renekton also loses 3% win rate and drops to 47%. Unfortunately, this drop doesn’t appear to be temporary, though Krak is no doubt getting some love from Riot if his profit rate doesn’t increase in the coming weeks.
