There are reports of a new Apex Legends hack that hides hacks from players browsing them.
Cheating has always been a common problem in FPS and TPS games. Players use external programs to gain a clear advantage over their opponents. Whether it’s seeing through walls with a wall hack or auto-aiming with an aiming bot, the cheat always finds a way to stay one step ahead.
Apex Legends uses an anti-cheat program called Easy Anti-Cheat, which generally disallows cheaters. If cheaters circumvent this system, other players will usually notice and report it to developer Respawn Entertainment, ideally resulting in the cheater being penalized. These reports are based on players checking suspected cheaters to confirm their inhumane intentions.
Unfortunately for honest gamers, the new third-party software seems to allow cheaters to recognize that someone is watching them and automatically disable their hacks.
You and your team can be arrested in the blink of an eye by a crook who has never missed anyone. However, once you decide to see if they are indeed scammers, the third-party system has already stopped the scammers. He plays like a treacherous ordinary person until he stops looking.
There’s a trick that lets you know who’s looking at you, so if you’ve ever had your whole team crushed by one guy, then look and see he’s missed all the balls, you know why!

This system reduces the chances of catching cheaters who have bypassed Easy Anti-Cheat. Fewer players will report these cheats because once they start looking, chances are they will look like regular players who have just arrived.
Fewer reports will directly lead to fewer bans because EA does not receive as many replay reports. In the future, players may not hesitate to report an innocent player who shot or report a criminal cheat they think is lucky.
Respawn Entertainment has not yet commented on this hack.
