Apex Legends update adds basic input lag on Xbox

Apex Legends’ latest collection event went live on Tuesday, bringing both good and bad news for Xbox players. With all the new content, the update seems to have created a significant input lag on this console.

The update itself arrived two hours later on Xbox consoles than on other platforms, with development studio Respawn Entertainment calling it a “posting error.” As soon as it finally went live, an update surfaced that caused bar slippage and other bugs other than input lag, which some players described as unplayable.

Respawn acknowledged the input lag issue within hours of the upgrade, but has yet to be resolved. Platformers are already frustrated with the bug that made team communication via voice chat impossible without a fix for the past three months.

The Awakening Collection event not only brought the bad news, but also brought a new limited-time cosmetic set, Exile of the Valkyrie, a return to control game mode, and a massive set. About balance changes and bug fixes. The event will last until July 5.
