Comic con Caminos will bring together the highlights of Spanish comics and civil engineering in a globally groundbreaking event with roundtables, hands-on workshops for all audiences, book signings and a unique exhibition. Comic con Caminos: exhibition

A road, a railroad network, or a sewer system are sets, symbolic elements, and even heroes through which superheroes and characters of all sorts pass through in some of the most memorable comics, as well as the civil engineering elements we live with in our daily lives. last decades. Curated by engineers Carlos Polimón and Lara Rueda, the exhibition “Cómic con Caminos” brings together reproductions of vignettes by Spanish authors such as Paco Roca, Laura Pérez, in six thematic blocks (roads, bridges, terminals, materials, railways and tunnels). or David Moon, Author of the poster for this edition of Comic con Caminos.

Created by Sara Soler for a special comic book for #ComicconCaminos attendees, engineer Inge will guide in these thematic blocks where the vignettes themselves describe situations or human experiences through their construction work. The target, says Carlos Polimón, “The vignettes themselves tell stories, such as how a highway is a road to freedom. It is also a tribute to the Spanish cartoonists.† Also, through dialogue, invite the visitor to think about the role of the different elements of civil engineering that surrounds us today and how they will look in the future. The exhibition can be visited from March 26-30 at Matadero Madrid Central de Diseño.
