Sony has confirmed that it has temporarily blocked active membership renewals for PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now.. Don’t worry, your purchased codes and cards won’t let you down and you’ll be able to use them after June 22 when the new PS Plus version launches.
“As we prepare to launch the new PlayStation Plus service, we’re doing some behind-the-scenes work to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our existing members.” listed in the PS Plus FAQ update.
“As part of this work, we have temporarily banned membership accumulation for existing customers.” Sony adds that the renewal of an active subscription will be renewed after the launch of a new version of PS Plus. Purchased codes and cards can be easily activated by players who do not have an active subscription..
As for the transfer of a subscription to a new version, so current PS Plus changes to PS Plus Essential with the same benefits and price. For example, if you have three months to subscribe, they will be converted to 92 days. For the PS Plus Extra variant it will be 58 days and for the Premium variant it will be 46 days.
