Paradox is tweaking the AI, economy, and stability and responding to the first wave of feedback.
Paradox Interactive has released the first major update for Europe Universalis Vwhich answers the most common comments from players after the game’s recent launch. The patch mainly focuses on stability, balance, and technical difficulties that some members of the community encountered in the first days after release. It improves, for example, the AI economy, the behavior of armies on the map, more accurate calculation of the war score, as well as a number of user interface issues. Also fixed were the visibility of the research bonus, siege bugs, and several situations where the game could freeze during turn calculations.
In addition, the developers clarified that this is only the beginning of a series of updates – further modifications will follow depending on what requests the community continues to report. Europe Universalis V entered the market with record player interest, but also with some heated discussions about changes to the mechanics. This patch shows that Paradox is reacting quickly and trying to quickly get the new title into a state that fans will support for a long time.
